Vehicle Strikes 2 Pedestrians, Kills 1 In OC
A vehicle struck two people on Saturday, killing one and severely injuring another in Orange County, authorities said.

SANTA ANA, CA — Two pedestrians were crossing the street in Santa Ana on Saturday when they were struck by a vehicle. One person died and the other was critically injured, authorities said Sunday.
The crash was reported around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday in the 4700 block of First Street, according to the Santa Ana Police Department.
One of the pedestrians was pronounced dead at the scene while the other was rushed to a hospital.

The vehicle involved remained at the scene and the driver was cooperative. Alcohol was not believed to have been a factor in the crash, police said.
