Violent Robbery At North OC Ulta Beauty Store, 3 Arrested

Three suspects robbed the high-end Orange County beauty store & attacked a guard, cops say. All are suspected in a SoCal Ulta robbery ring.

SEAL BEACH, CA - Three suspects are in jail after they robbed an Orange County Ulta Beauty store, Seal Beach police say.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Seal Beach Police Department received a call of a robbery at the Ulta Beauty located at the 12000 block of Seal Beach Boulevard.

Witnesses observed three people, believed to be the suspects, inside the store stealing high-end merchandise, Seal Beach Police Lt. Nick Nicholas says.

As the trio of suspects left the store, the store’s uniformed security guard tried to stop them. At least one of the robbers —police believe to be the three under arrest— physically assaulted the security guard as he attempted to prevent them from leaving.

The suspects then fled the store and drove away through the parking lot. One witness was able to obtain the getaway vehicle's license plate.

The security guard was uninjured, Nicholas said.

Late Tuesday evening, with the assistance of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the suspects and their vehicle were located in the city of Los Angeles.

In a joint operation, all three suspects were detained until Seal Beach Police investigators arrested them without incident.

The suspects were identified as:

Tommy Dunmore, age 20 of Los Angeles

Kahjai Alford, age 18 of Los Angeles;

Asja Hansbrough, age 19 of Los Angeles.

All three suspects were arrested for robbery and booked at the Orange County Jail.

Still, investigators believe that the three took part in a ring of Ulta Beauty store robberies across the Southland, according to Nicholas.

“Seal Beach Police detectives have reason to believe these suspects may have committed other, similar crimes at other Ulta Beauty stores throughout Southern California," he said.
