Wheelchair-Bound Pedestrian Struck And Killed In Santa Ana
A driver struck and killed a pedestrian as they crossed an Orange County street Tuesday morning.

SANTA ANA, CA —A major incident closed traffic in the area of Euclid between 1st Street and 5th Streets Tuesday, Santa Ana police said. That roadway was closed for several hours while officials deconstructed the crash that killed a wheelchair-using pedestrian.
Police were called before 7:30 a.m. to Euclid and Second streets. A motorist traveling northbound on Euclid approaching Second Street collided with the unidentified victim, who was crossing the street in a wheelchair, according to Cpl. Anthony Bertagna.
According to images from the scene, there are no cross walks at this location.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
