Wind Advisory Across Orange County
As the storms blow away, high winds have moved into the region. How windy will it get in your neck of the woods?
ORANGE COUNTY, CA — High winds gusted across southern California as the Santa Anas heralded a new high pressure system across the region. Los Angeles expected gusts of up to 50 miles per hour and further south in Orange County "gusty wind was expected to make driving difficult, especially high profile vehicles," the National Weather Service warned.
Gusty cross winds from 20 to 45 miles per hour were reported in inland Orange County, including mountain roads, the strongest gust recorded was 61-miles per hour in Fremont Canyon at just before 6 a.m. Thursday.
The NWS reports that strong sustained winds and gusts of 20-30 miles per hour across Inland Orange County. Much of the county is under a wind advisory until 2 p.m. Thursday, they said.

Sunny skies were forecast in Orange County, although mountain locales will be windy, along with highs of 45 on Santiago Peak; 59 on Ortega Highway; 64 in Fremont Canyon and San Clemente; 66 in Trabuco Canyon and Laguna Beach; 67 in Newport Beach; 69 in Yorba Linda; 71 in Mission Viejo; and 72 in Fullerton, Anaheim and Irvine. Temperatures will climb to the 80s Saturday and Sunday.
The NWS also forecast sunny skies in L.A. County and temperatures -- 51 degrees on Mount Wilson; 59 in Palmdale and Lancaster; 62 in Saugus; 64 in Saugus; 70 in Burbank and Woodland Hills and at LAX; and 71 in Downtown L.A., Pasadena and San Gabriel.
