Woman Killed While Waiting For Orange County Bus

On a rainy Thursday in Santa Ana, a woman was waiting for a bus when she was fatally struck by an out of control car, cops said.

SANTA ANA, CA — A woman waiting for a bus was killed Thursday, Santa Ana police say. The 31-year-old woman died in a crash involving three cars, on Main Street between Washington and 15th Street just after 11 a.m. when one vehicle "spun out and struck her," Santa Ana Police Department spokesman Anthony Bertagna said.

She died at a nearby trauma hospital. Main Street remains closed in the area for an investigation into the crash. The woman's name was not yet released as of this report.

Main Street was closed in all directions from 17th to Washington until further notice, they said. As of this report, the victim's name has not yet been released.
