1 Dead, 6 Injured After DUI Suspect Triggers Crash On PCH: Reports
The driver lost control of his car and struck a group of people and cars parked on the shoulder overlooking the beach, reports said.

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — A woman is dead and at least six others were injured after a driver lost control of his car on Pacific Coast Highway and plowed into a group of people and multiple parked cars, according to multiple reports citing police.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, authorities said.
According to CBS Los Angeles and City News Service reports, the crash happened around 12:45 a.m. Saturday when a 21-year-old driver was traveling on Sunset Boulevard and attempted to turn onto PCH.

The driver then lost control of his car and struck a group of pedestrians and cars parked on the shoulder overlooking the beach, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange said in a statement to City News Service.
A vehicle going south on PCH then crashed into three vehicles parked on the southbound shoulder, the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Division reported. The impact sent two of the three vehicles over a small roadside cliff and onto the beach below, where three people were seated, CBS Los Angeles reported.

A 32-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. One person was taken to a hospital in serious condition and five others were in fair to moderate condition, Prange said.
