1 Dog Dead, Another In 'Distress' After Hiking With Person In LA

A dog died while hiking with a person Saturday at Will Rogers State Park in the Pacific Palisades. All three were air hoisted off the trail.

At 12:24 p.m., rescue crews were deployed to the 1000 block of North Will Rogers State Park Road. Air crews hoisted the two dogs and one person to a safe landing location, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A dog died and another was in medical distress Saturday after falling ill while hiking with a person at Will Rogers State Park in the Pacific Palisades, officials said.

At 12:24 p.m., rescue crews were deployed to the 1000 block of North Will Rogers State Park Road. Air crews hoisted the two dogs and one person to a safe landing location, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.

It was not immediately known why the dog died or what kind of medical distress the second dog was under. The condition of the hiker was not disclosed.
