3 Contagious Measles Patients Pass Through LAX
Los Angeles County health officials are warning of a potential measles exposure at one of the nation's busiest airports this holiday season.
LOS ANGELES, CA — Three infectious measles patients passed through the busy Los Angeles International Airport recently, potentially exposing employees and other travelers to the highly contagious disease, according to Los Angeles County health officials.
The infected patients travelled through Terminals 4 and 5 of the airport on Dec. 11., Department of Public Health officials said Monday. Possible exposures could have occured anytime from 6:50 a.m. to noon that day. There have been several instances this year of passengers traveling through LAX while contagious with the measles — each time triggering a public health scare.
