Man Rescued From Palisades Hills
Los Angeles firefighters hoisted the man to safety from remote hillside terrain Friday morning.

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — An elderly man was was rescued from remote terrain in the hills of Pacific Palisades Friday morning.
Los Angeles firefighters hoisted him to safety shortly before noon, and he was rushed to a nearby hospital, said Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The man had been lost in the elements for more than 24 hours, he did not have any life-threatening injuries, Prange said.

A passerby called 9-1-1 after seeing the elderly hiker in distress near the 1500 block of North Lachman Lane at around 11:30 a.m. Friday.
"He was reportedly lost/missing for days prior," Prange said in a statement. "LAFD Air Operations hoisted him from his remote location and transported him to an area hospital for further care."
