Bicyclist Seriously Injured After Pacific Palisades Fall

LOS ANGELES, CA — A 23-year-old man was in serious condition Saturday after he sustained injuries in a fall while riding a mountain bicycle in Pacific Palisades, authorities said.

Crews arrived by land and air around 11:30 a.m. to hoist the man to a hospital by helicopter after he reportedly fell near Sullivan Fire Road, the Los Angeles Fire Department said in a statement.

The man suffered serious head, arm and shoulder injuries during the fall. The fire agency said he was wearing a helmet.

It wasn't immediately known what condition the bicyclist was in by the late afternoon.
