David Garrett, a member of the LA Phil’s cello section since 2000, will be showcased in Haydn’s lyrical Cello Concerto in D major.&nbsp;
Join us as we journey from the origins of musical classicism to the opening salvo of the Romantic era. Following CPE Bach’s energetic Symphony in B-flat Major, we showcase LA Phil cellist David Garrett in Hadyn’s beloved Cello Concerto in D Major. The program continues with Schubert’s sparkling Symphony No. 5 and Carl Maria von Weber’s landmark “Invitation to the Dance,” a piece historian John Warrack called “the first and still perhaps most brilliant and poetic example of the Romantic concert waltz.” Underwritten by a generous grant from the Colburn Foundation.Tickets $45. Join Kids On Stage this summer for our fun-filled Summer Camps! Each camp brings something new!&nbsp; Camps are a joyful, inspiring place for youth and teen actors to explore, create, and shine on stage.
Kids On Stage (since 1987!) offers high-quality musical theatre camps in a supportive, non-competitive setting. Each thoughtfully themed camp blends acting, singing, movement, and ensemble fun with guidance from experienced theatre professionals.
Campers work closely with a professional teaching artist who guide campers to help develop theatre and performance skills, vocal performance, and movement, while enjoying a joyful exploration of a popular musical theme.
