CRESTWOOD HILLS, CA —Los Angeles Councilman Mike Bonin and the Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks reminded local residents Thursday that the field at Crestwood Hills Park will be closed for three months due to re-seeding.

According to a post on social media, the park's field will shut down this Sunday and remain closed until Jan. 22, 2022.

"To restore the beauty of Crestwood Hills Park, the city will be re-seeding the park's grass sports field," read the post on social media. "This will require just the sports field to be closed for 90 days to allow the grass to grow and be properly maintained."

The city said a temporary fence would block off the re-seeding area. Residents have been asked to tell their friends and neighbors about the closure, and are reminded that the rest of the park remains open, according to the city.
