Crews Hoist Injured Pacific Palisades Hiker
A man suffered a medical emergency while hiking in Pacific Palisades Monday afternoon.

PACIFIC PALISADES, — A hiker suffered a medical emergency in Pacific Palisades, prompting firefighters to attempt to hoist him to safety.
The call for help came into the Los Angeles Fire Department just before 1:30 p.m. Monday in the 15600 block of West Sunset Boulevard. Crews began a ground and air search and discovered the hiker in need of rescue in steep terrain. Paramedics and firefighters devised a plant to hoist him up for medical treatment, the Los Angeles Fire Department reports.
