Fire Scorches Sunset Blvd. Apartment Building

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — Firefighters were able to stop a two-story apartment fire from spreading in Pacific Palisades Monday morning.

About 28 firefighters battled to put out the flames in about 30 minute at the a two-story apartment at 15757 West Sunset Blvd., Amy Bastman of the Los Angeles Fire Department said. An attic fire, the blaze was first reported at about 4 a.m. Monday.

"The coordinated fire attack and ventilation kept the fire from spreading," Bastman said.

No injuries were reported, she said. The cause of the blaze was under investigation.
