Getty Center Closes Due To Fire Smoke
The Getty Center closed Tuesday to protect the artwork from the thick layer of smoke from the wildfires surrounding the region.

LOS ANGELES, CA — The Getty Center enacted an emergency closure Tuesday to protect the artwork from the wildfire smoke blanketing the region. Visitors will be turned away.
The museum is trying "to protect the collections from smoke from fires in the region," according to Getty officials. The Villa in Pacific Palisades is also closed to the public Tuesday, per its normal schedule.
