Hiker Airlifted From Temescal Canyon Park

A man suffered a medical emergency and became stranded in a remote area of Temescal Canyon Park Thursday afternoon.

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — A man suffered a medical emergency while hiking in a remote area near Temescal Canyon Park in Pacific Palisades and had to be airlifted to safety Thursday afternoon.

The incident occurred near 1450 Chautauqua Boulevard at about 12:30 p.m., according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange. The hiker called for help after being stranded in a remote area. Rescuers hiked in to treat him, but he ultimately had to be hoisted out of the Canyon by helicopter, according to Prange.

The hiker was taken to a hospital in moderate condition, Prange added.
