Hiker Finds Woman's Body In Topanga State Park

Police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in the bushes near a hiking trail but there are no signs of foul play.

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — Police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found near a hiking trail in Topanga State Park Monday.

The woman was found in the bushes near a hiking trail by a hiker, according to authorities.

Police were called to the park in the 20800 block of West Entrada Road about 4 p.m. by a hiker who first spotted the body, said Officer Mike Lopez with the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Section.

Investigators, at this point, do not suspect foul play was involved.

"There appears to be no foul play, no trauma to the body, but the death investigation is still ongoing," Lt. John Radke told ABC7.

The victim's name has not yet been released.
