Los Angeles Costars in Emmy Triumphs
Twelve Emmy winning programs including "Veep," "Baskets," "Key & Peele," "The Voice," and "The People v. O.J. Simpson" were made in LA.
LOS ANGELES, CA -- Los Angeles-made television productions garnered 12 awards at the 68th annual Emmy Awards, Film L.A. officials said today, partially crediting tax incentives for the strong showing.
The winning television projects included "Veep," which won its second straight Emmy Sunday night for best comedy series and fifth consecutive Emmy for lead actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus. The show recently moved its productions from Maryland to Los Angeles and benefits from state film tax credits, according to Film L.A., the nonprofit agency that serves as the region's film permitting and tracking office.
