Los Angeles Is For Foodies, Study Finds

Los Angeles is ranked fourth nationwide when it comes to yummy dining options thanks to affordable fine dining, according to WalletHub.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Food lovers in Los Angeles have much to savor Tuesday, as the city was ranked the fourth best in the country for foodies by the personal finance website WalletHub.

The Best Foodie Cities in America list compared more than 180 of the largest U.S. cities across 24 key metrics. The rankings also expanded upon what a "foodie" is beyond just a person who enjoys gourmet dining to include those who enjoy food that is affordable or purchased at the grocery store.

"But foodie culture isn't limited to restaurants. More importantly, far fewer than the many who claim to be foodies truly deserve the label," WalletHub wrote.
