Pali Blues Beat Seattle 1-0, Win Western Conference Championship

The following was reported by the Pali Blues Soccer Club:

The Pali Blues are back on the road toward another USL W-League Championship after defeating the Seattle Sounders 1-0 on Sunday, July 22 in the Western Conference Championship match at Cal State Fullerton. Pali earned a spot in the semi-finals in Ottawa, Ontario with Sunday's win.

The three other teams to make the semifinals were DC United, Ottawa Fury, and Quebec City Amiral. The four teams will come together in Ottawa to play two semi-final matches on Friday, July 27, and the winners will go on to play in the W-League final on Sunday, July 29.

Although Pali missed several scoring opportunities on Sunday and weren't playing their best, their defense kept them in the match, according to Head Coach Charlie Naimo.
