Pali Blues Face Seattle Sounders in Western Conference Championship
The undefeated, two-time defending champions host Seattle today at Cal State Fullerton's Titan Stadium at 1 p.m.
The following is reported by the Pali Blues Soccer Club:
The Pali Blues face off today against the Seattle Sounders in the Western Conference Championship match of the United Soccer League W-League at Cal State Fullerton’s Titan Stadium at 1 p.m. Heading into it, the Blues defeated the Sounders 1-0 on July 15, and both teams ended the season as the top two in the Western Conference. The Pali Blues carry a stunning undefeated 13-0-1 record that is good for first place on the conference table, while the Sounders stand in second place with an 8-2-1 record. The outcome of the last regular season match-up had no effect on the standings.
As the #1 seed at the end of the regular W-League season, the Blues took advantage of the opportunity to host the playoff match on the same day that brother club, the USLPRO’s L.A. Blues, will host Guatemalan giant C.S.D. Municipal in an international friendly.
