PCH Bridge Project Team Will Attend Palisades Council Meeting
The team behind a project that will connect George Wolfberg Park to Will Rogers Beach will be in attendance at Wednesday's meeting.

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — The Pacific Palisades Community Council will welcome members of the team behind the Potrero Canyon Bridge project at its meeting Thursday.
The council will host several project managers from the firms working on the project, which calls for the construction of a pedestrian and bike bridge across Pacific Coast Highway to connect George Wolfberg Park to Will Rogers Beach.
Their attendance at the PPCC meeting comes ahead of a community meeting set for next week where city officials will offer information about the project and introduce the project team. And the week after that, the city Recreation and Park Commission will hold a meeting at the Palisades Recreation Center.

The Community Council has drafted a letter ahead of the parks commission meeting outlining concerns about a need for security cameras at the Recreation Center, improvements at the park and others matters under the commission's jurisdiction.
Additionally, Brian Espin, the Palisades' senior lead officer from the Los Angeles Police Department, will provide an update on crime in the neighborhood.

Representatives from the offices of Councilwoman Traci Park, Los Angeles Unified School District board member Nick Melvoin, Sen. Ben Allen, Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin, Mayor Karen Bass and Supervisor Lindsey Horvath will speak.
And the council will discuss replacement trees for three Torrey pines purchased and planted at the Palisades Recreation Center Playground, which died — potentially due to too much rain. The Palisades Forestry Committee recommends the council purchase three 15-gallon Quercus tomentella (island oaks) for the playground area.
The Pacific Palisades Community Council meets March 7 at 5 p.m. via Zoom. More information about the meeting is available here.
