Pedestrian Struck And Killed In Westside Neighborhood Identified
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A 76-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a driver in a Westside Los Angeles neighborhood late Thursday night.
The collision occurred about 10:20 p.m. Thursday at Palms Boulevard and Vinton Avenue in the Palms neighborhood. The man, Mohammad Reza Bina, of Los Angeles, died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The driver, who was behind the wheel of a Kia Soul, stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

"It is unknown if speed was a factor in this collision," police said in a statement "Alcohol and/or drugs were not a factor."
