Sexual Assault Suspect Sought In Pacific Palisades
A male suspect attempted to sexually assault a woman at Will Rogers State Beach, LAPD said Monday.

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — The Los Angeles Police Department sought the public's help Monday in finding a suspect who they said attempted to sexually assault a woman at Will Rogers State Beach in Pacific Palisades.
The incident occurred on Feb. 4 at around 6:30 p.m. LAPD said, when the suspect approached a woman by herself at the beach near 15500 Pacific Coast Highway.
"The suspect made a statement of intent, then proceeded to place his hand over the victim's mouth while brandishing a boxcutter," LAPD said in a statement.

The woman was able to break free and safely escape according to LAPD officials.
LAPD described the suspect as a Hispanic man between 20 to 30 years old. Officers said he is approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs around 150 to 160 pounds.

The suspect has black hair and brown eyes and was wearing a navy blue or black zip-up hoodie with dark pants and a tan hat at the time of the incident.
