Smoke From Palisades Hotspot Poses No Threat: Palisades Patrol
The private security firm said it is monitoring smoke from the week-old Palisades Fire, but there are no active flames in the area.

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — Smoke from an apparent hotspot from the week-old Palisades Fire poses no threat to the community, according to Palisades Patrol, the private security firm on the scene Tuesday afternoon.
Security officers responded to a report of smoke in the area.
"We have officers on scene now. It is not flames. It is smoke essentially," a Palisades Patrol spokesman told Patch.com. "There is no threat to the community."

The security firm's officials said they are monitoring the hotspot from the 40-acre brush fire that burned along the 500 block of North Palisades Drive in Pacific Palisades last week.
A spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed there are no active flames in the Palisades neighborhood. The community remains on edge as the Getty Fire continues to smolder, and a Santa Ana windstorm expected Tuesday night raises the danger that burning embers could trigger new fires to the west.
