Trump Is A Putin 'Fanboy, Wet Noodle,' Schwarzenegger Taunts
California's former governor turned reality star blasted the reality star turned president for his controversial Putin press conference.
LOS ANGELES, CA — Former California governor and “Celebrity Apprentice” star Arnold Schwarzenegger took president and former “Celebrity Apprentice” star Donald Trump to task Monday for appearing to accept Russian President Vladimir V. Putin’s denial of election interfering.
Amid the cacophony of national leaders condemning the president’s press conference in Helsinki as “tragic,” “disgraceful,” and “treasonous,” perhaps Schwarzenegger’s condemnation stands out for the kind of belittling language Trump himself favors.
“President Trump, I just saw your press conference with President Putin, and it was embarrassing. I mean you stood there like a little wet noodle, like a little fanboy. I mean, I was asking myself when are you going to ask him for an autograph or for a selfie or something like that?” Schwarzenegger said in a Facebook video on Monday. “I mean you literally sold out at this press conference our intelligence community, our justice system, and, worst of all, our country. You’re the president of the United States. You shouldn’t do that. What’s the matter with you? I mean, whatever happened to the strong words or to the strength of Ronald Reagan when he stood there at the Berlin Wall, and he said, ‘Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall.’ What happened to all that?”

Trump, for his part, responded to the storm of criticism Tuesday with a clarification. He said after reviewing the transcript of the press conference that he misspoke when he sided with Putin over the American intelligence community on the world stage.
The president told Republican legislators, “The sentence should have been ‘I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t be Russia,’ sort of a double negative. So you can put that in, and I think that probably clarifies things pretty good by itself.”
