U.S. Soccer Star Abby Wambach Greets Pali Fans
Wambach signed autographs and posed for photos following the Pali Blues Soccer Club's Sunday match in Fullerton.
Soccer fans met a superstar when U.S. National player Abby Wambach held an autograph session in Fullerton following Pali Blues Soccer Club's doubleheader weekend of victories over the Colorado Rapids and Colorado Rush.
Wambach, who is considered an all-time U.S. goal scorer, made the national spotlight in 2008 prior to the Olympics in Beijing.

The Pali Blues took their 12th win of the season on Sunday as they defeated the Colorado Rush 2-0 on a warm afternoon at Titan Stadium in Fullerton, winning the Western Conference. Lynn Williams scored the first goal of the match in the first half, and Sarah Huffman sealed the deal with a late goal in the second half. With one game left in the regular season, the Blues know who they will face in the Western Conference championship match: Seattle Sounders who are seven points ahead of the rush, who are mathematically out of the playoff race. The Blues dominated the Colorado Rapids in a match Friday, July 6, that ended 5-0.
