Viewfinder: Renee Agarwal Art Exhibit

Works by the local painter are on display at the library through Sept. 29.

When looking at the paintings of artist Renee Agarwal, it's easy to see what inspires her: nature.

The local artist has almost 50 paintings on display at the Pacific Palisades Branch Library in an exhibit titled "Visions from Nature," which runs through Sept. 29.

"I feel like I've been painting all my life—I have a hard time remembering a time when I wasn't painting," Agarwal said.

Agarwal also teaches art, and the exhibit includes works by four of her students, including two 9-year-old girls. Agarwal has taught students ages 3 to 100 and said she loves bringing out their "inner artist."

"I believe everyone is capable of creating a work of art. There's no right or wrong to it," she said.
