West LA Power Outage Could Last All Day
A power outage has affected much of LA's Westside.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A wide swath of West Los Angeles is without power today, and Department of Water and Power Officials predict it could take 14 hours to return electricity to the entire region.
The massive outage comes as many in the region are trying to navigate freeway road closures as fires force thousands of Angelenos to evacuate.
UCLA Health officials say they are continuing to monitor impacts related to the Skirball Fire and advise that UCLA hospitals are fully operational, but all afternoon clinic appointments in the 100, 200 and 300 Medical Plaza buildings are canceled due to a power outage.

However, as of 1 p.m., some Westside neighborhoods had power restored.
DWP officials said the extent of the power outage is unknown. UCLA officials report that the campus is operating on internal power only, meaning electricity is out at "non- essential" buildings.
