Woman Killed In Palisades DUI Crash Identified By Police
One person was killed and six were injured Saturday after a driver plowed into a group of pedestrians and sent two vehicles over a cliff.
PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — Authorities have publicly identified the woman who died Saturday after a driver on Pacific Coast Highway lost control of his car, plowing into a group of pedestrians and sending parked cars over a cliff.
Ashleigh Lawrence, 32, of Los Angeles, died at the scene of the accident, which occurred around 12:45 a.m. Saturday, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.
A 21-year-old driver was driving south on PCH early Saturday morning when he slammed into a group of pedestrians and vehicles parked on the shoulder overlooking the beach near Palisades Drive, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange said.

The impact sent two of the three vehicles into the rocks, hitting Lawrence. One person was transported to a hospital in serious condition, five others were in fair to moderate condition, according to Prange.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
