1 Killed, 3 Critically Injured In RivCo Crash Involving Multiple Vehicles

DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA — One person was killed and several others were injured in a multi-vehicle collision Thursday afternoon in the unincorporated community of Garnet near Desert Hot Springs, fire officials said..

The crash was reported around 12:45 p.m. near Mountain View Road and Club House Drive, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

Fire officials said crews responded to the scene and found two vehicles on fire in a collision involving three vehicles.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene and three people suffered critical injuries. One person suffered moderate injuries from the collision.

Crews worked to put out the vehicle fires.

Mountain View Road was temporarily closed as the cause of the crash was under investigation.
