2 Adults, 2 Children Displaced By Fire At Desert Hot Springs Apartment Complex

DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA — Firefighters knocked down a fire Sunday that displaced four people from a Desert Hot Springs apartment complex.

The fire was reported at 9:55 a.m. Sunday in the 66000 block of Ironwood Drive, where crews found heavy smoke coming from the second floor of the two-story building, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The fire was contained to four apartments at around 2:30 p.m. and the American Red Cross was requested to assist two adults and two children who were displaced.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known, and firefighters predicted remaining on scene for several hours performing salvage and overhaul.
