2-Day Outage Of Traffic Lights At Busy Palm Desert Intersection

PALM DESERT, CA — Traffic signals at the intersection of Highway 111 and Painter’s Path/Park View Drive in Palm Desert are out of service Tuesday, from 9 a.m. to noon. They will be out again on Wednesday, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., so that workers can make electrical repairs and replace the traffic signal controller cabinet.

In accordance with California law, the intersection will function as a four-way stop with supplemental stop signs in place during the work, according to city officials.

Delays are possible and motorists are encouraged to allow extra time or use alternate routes, officials said.
