2 Women Suspected Of Running Brothel In Desert Hot Springs
Dongping Xu, 55, of Upland, and Wanyou Lei, 61, were arrested Tuesday but were free on bail Wednesday.

DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA — Two women arrested on suspicion of prostitution-related crimes in Desert Hot Springs were free on bail Wednesday.
Dongping Xu, 55, of Upland, and Wanyou Lei, 61, were arrested Tuesday when Riverside County sheriff's deputies served a search warrant related to sex trafficking in the 13100 block of Palm Drive, according to Sgt. Jose Tijerina.
Although no victims of sex trafficking were identified, Xu was arrested on suspicion of pimping, pandering, maintaining a brothel and solicitation of prostitution. Lei was also arrested on allegations of solicitation of prostitution and maintaining a brothel.

The pair were booked into the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio, but have since posted bail.
According to jail records, Xu is tentatively scheduled to make her first court appearance Feb. 10 and Lei is scheduled for Feb. 23, both at the Larson Justice Center in Indio.
