61-Year-Old Driver Suspected Of DUI, Causing Injury Crash In Rancho Mirage

The crash was reported in the area of Bob Hope Drive and Highway 111.

RANCHO MIRAGE, CA — A 61-year-old man suspected of causing a two-vehicle collision while driving under the influence in Rancho Mirage was behind bars Monday.

Brett Michael Misell of Cathedral City was booked into Benoit Detention Center on suspicion of DUI, according to Sgt. Robert Martinez of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

The crash was reported shortly after 9:30 p.m. Friday in the area of Bob Hope Drive and Highway 111.

Upon arrival, deputies found two vehicles with damage.

The driver and a passenger of one vehicle were taken to a hospital in stable condition. Misell, the driver of the other vehicle, was taken into custody, Martinez said.
