Accused Embezzler Hitt Hearing Postponed
Today's conference was postponed, preliminary hearing set for July.
Today's settlement conference for accused embezzler Jason Hitt was continued until July 2nd due to an illness to Hitt's attorney.
The former marine, accused of embezzling from a scholarship fund under his stewardship, will face a premilinary hearing on July 10th.
Hitt was charged by the Riverside County District Attorney's Office on Aug. 29 with and forging a $6,000 check from the U.S. Marine Scholarships of the Desert Cities, Inc., a nonprofit organization that gives academic scholarships to current and former Marines in the desert area.
