'Aircraft Emergency' Reported With Small Plane Down In RivCo: FD

MECCA, CA — A small aircraft went down in Mecca Saturday evening, according to officials.

CAL Fir and the Riverside County Fire Department reported an "aircraft emergency" at 6:07 p.m. on Avenue 68 and Lincoln Street in Mecca.

"The first arriving unit reported a small aircraft down with a solo occupant safely out of the aircraft reporting no injuries," fire officials said.

The Federal Aviation Administration and Riverside County Sheriff's Office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
