Aldi Looking to Hire 50 Shift Manager, Interviewing Applicants in Palm Desert
Aldi plans to open stores in Palm Springs, Palm Desert, La Quinta, Beaumont, Yucaipa, Highland, Menifee, Moreno Valley and Lake Elsinore.

Aldi, the German grocery story chain, is coming to the Inland Empire next year and is hosting a job fair Monday to staff those stores
The chain, known for its no-frills, basement bargain prices shopping experience will be opening 11 storesin the Inland Empire and is looking for 50 shift managers.
The pay starts at $18 an hour and goes up to $23 an hour, according to the company.

Aldi hiring managers will meet with job seekers at the Embassy Suites in Palm Desert form 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday.
Applicants must be at least 18 years or older, hold a high school diploma or GED, be able to lift 45 pounds and has some retail experience. They must be able to work between 5 a.m. and 11 p.m. Monday through Sunday and pass a drug test.

Between March and July 2016, Aldi plans to open stores in Palm Springs, Palm Desert, La Quinta, Beaumont, Redlands, Yucaipa, Highland, Menifee, Moreno Valley, Lake Elsinore and Fontana.
Employees will average 33-40 hours each week and will be eligible for full benefits, including health insurance and dental coverage.
Aldi operates more than 8,000 stores worldwide and more than 1,400 stores in 32 states in the U.S., primarily from Kansas to the East Coast.
