Many attendees took to their small screens after the shows to dissect Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, and Karol G's performances after weekend one, and after a week of reflection, the stars are heading back for a weekend of windy weather and warmer days.
During weekend one of the 2026 music festival, headliner Sabrina Carpenter performed amid a dust storm on Friday and apologized after her performance for mistaking a crowd chant for "yodeling." Her apology on X had fans supporting her when she asked any and all to do the same at her next performance.
Sabrina Carpenter headlined Friday and unveiled "Sabrina's Pit Stop," a pop-up experience created in partnership with Airbnb. The installation, located at 82338 CA-111 and open through Sunday, features photo- themed vignettes, custom slushie stations and merchandise for sale.
On Saturday, during Justin Bieber's headlining performance, festivalgoers stood in long lines of traffic awash in "Belieber" pilgrims. Though some complained that his set relied too heavily on YouTube, while others said it was "exactly what he needed" and that he had "healed his inner child." Bieber sang in harmony with his young self, in a truly artistic performance from the heart.
Karol G wowed the crowd Sunday night, closing out weekend one as the first Latina headliner to Coachella, bringing with her an all-female Mariachi. Bichota Records, Karol G's Record Label, posted an Instagram video of her and fans, calling it a “powerful celebration of identity, culture, and community."
On Friday, the gates open at 1 p.m. for festival attendees.
Saturday, gates open at 1 p.m.
