Coachella Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Narcotics Sales

Officers found over one pound of heroin, two unregistered handguns, approximately $64,000 and indicia during a search, authorities said.

COACHELLA, CA — A 24-year-old Coachella man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of heroin for sale, authorities said.

Officers from the Indio Police Department served a search warrant in the 50000 block of Goya Drive in Coachella at about 1 p.m. Thursday, with help from members of the Post Release Accountability and Compliance Team.

While conducting the search warrant, officers allegedly found over one pound of heroin, two unregistered handguns, approximately $64,000 and indicia consistent with narcotics sales.

The suspect, identified as Javen Joshua Reyes Nunez, was subsequently arrested and booked into the John Benoit Detention Center.

Nunez was expected to appear in court on July 16 at the Indio Larson Justice Center.
