PALM SPRINGS, CA — A two-alarm fire burning in unincorporated Palm Springs Tuesday afternoon is threatening homes and property.
The blaze, dubbed the Oreana Fire, broke out at 2:24 p.m. in the 59900 block of Calle De Las Flores near Oreana Way, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
Multiple cargo sea containers and large debris piles were burning, and power lines were down. Approximately five residential structures are threatened, the fire department reported.
There are no reports of any injuries or displacements.
The cause of the fire is not immediately known.
