DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA —Fire crews were battling a vegetation fire that broke out Friday afternoon near a building in Desert Hot Springs, fire officials said.
The fire was reported around 1:35 p.m. in the 64000 block of 19th Avenue, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Initial reports indicated the blaze broke out in the back of a building, and possibly involved collapsed power lines down and a transformer, but upon further inspection firefighters did not find any damage.
Fire crews were able to contain the blaze within about 30 minutes, fire officials said.
No injuries were reported.
