PALM DESERT, CA — Construction crews will be working on multiple roadway projects to improve aging and damaged infrastructure beginning next month in Palm Desert, officials said.
The construction project will take place on the northbound lanes of Monterey Avenue between Gerald Ford and the 10 Freeway overpass, and between Dinah Shore Drive and the Interstate 10, city officials said.
The construction work was originally slated to begin in late July.
Weather permitted, the project will improve various infrastructure, including roadways, curbs, sidewalks, crosswalks, traffic signals and more to improve traffic flow and safety.
Officials advised motorists and nearby businesses that temporary lane closures and traffic flow may affect traffic patterns and turning access.
