'Pride On The Page' Book Festival Returning To Palm Springs

PALM SPRINGS, CA — The Palm Springs Public Library Foundation has announced the return of its annual Pride on the Page Book Festival, which will mark its fifth anniversary with a day of free literary events and author panels this fall.

The festival is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14, at the Palm Springs Cultural Center. For the first time, the entire event—including an evening reception—will be free to attend.

This year's theme, "Five Years of Pride on the Page: Our Lives, Our Words, Our Stories," focuses on memoirs and personal narratives reflecting the LGBTQ+ community.

"This festival is about creating a welcoming space where people can discover great books, hear remarkable stories and connect through conversations," said Julie Warren, festival co-creator and library services manager.

Initial authors confirmed for the event include performer and author Murray Hill (Showbiz! My Life as a Middle-Aged Man), Phill Branch (The Double Dutch Fuss), Sandra Butler (Now What? From the Frontline of Old Age), and Daniel Jaffe (Russian Silhouette: A Memoir of Activism and Identity). Additional authors and moderators will be announced in the coming months.

The day's lineup will feature panel discussions, book signings, and an outdoor tent showcasing local authors, independent publishers, and community organizations. Organizers said a limited number of free books will be distributed to attendees at author presentations while supplies last.

"Financial support allows us to offer the entire festival without admission costs, ensuring everyone has access to these important voices and experiences," said Jim Gray, president of the foundation's board of directors.

The event is supported by the City of Palm Springs, the Palm Springs Cultural Center, and local business sponsors. Registration details and the full event schedule will be released at pslibraryfoundation.org/pride-on-the-page-2026.
