Emergency 911 Phone Lines Restored In Coachella Valley After Outage

Emergency phone lines were restored in Indio on Thursday, July 30, 2026, after they were disrupted earlier that morning for unknown reasons, according to the Indio Police Department. (Rachel Nunes/Patch)

INDIO, CA — The 911 emergency phone line for Indio residents was temporarily out of service Thursday before the issue was resolved.

The Indio Police Department announced the issue was resolved just before 2 p.m.

Service for city's emergency line was disrupted for unknown reasons Thursday morning. Authorities urged residents to call an alternate number for emergency police or fire assistance.

No additional information was immediately available.
