BLYTHE, CA — A passenger died after suffering an unspecified medical emergency in a vehicle traveling on the westbound 10 Freeway near Blythe, authorities said Friday.
An medical emergency call was reported shortly after 10:30 p.m. Thursday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP did not disclose the nature of the emergency.
Officers and paramedics arrived and attempted live-saving measures, but the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The person was identified only as a passenger in a vehicle. Their name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
No additional information was immediately available.
