INDIO, CA — Goldenvoice, organizers and producers behind the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, and the social media platform giant YouTube have renewed their exclusive livestream and content partnership through 2030, it was announced this week.
"The partnership will hit a milestone in April 2027, marking 15 years of bringing the desert festival experience to fans worldwide," Lyor Cohen, global head of music at YouTube, said in a post Wednesday.
The partnership evolved from a single livestream feed into a "full interactive experience," Cohen added.
YouTube provides global audiences to watch exclusive YouTube shorts from artists backstage, purchase festival merchandise and livestream the festival.
During this year's two-weekend festival, which was headlined by Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber and Karol G, audiences set the record for watching the event at one time in the history of Coachella on YouTube.
"Youtube and Goldenvoice will continue to build on this experience, giving people at home new ways to connect with their favorite artists and discover new music at the festival," Cohen said.
Next year's festival will take place from April 9-11 and April 16-18 at Empire Polo Club, 81-800 51st Ave., in Indio.
