PALM SPRINGS, CA — Internationally acclaimed fashion designer and creative director Jeremy Scott will be honored at the Palm Springs Art Museum's annual fundraising gala in early 2027, museum officials announced Tuesday.
The annual event, dubbed Art Party 2027, is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 30, 2027. Proceeds from the gala support the museum's exhibitions, educational programming, and collection preservation.
Scott, known for his pop-culture-infused runway designs and a decade-long tenure as creative director for the Italian luxury house Moschino, has deep roots in Palm Springs. He serves as the steward of the Elrod House, a 1968 landmark designed by architect John Lautner that stands as one of the desert's most recognizable examples of midcentury modern architecture.
"Jeremy has an extraordinary ability to see the familiar differently and turn it into something entirely unexpected. There is intelligence, wit, and fearlessness in everything he creates," Christine Vendredi, the museum's JoAnn McGrath Executive Director and Chief Curator, said in a statement. "His relationship with Palm Springs makes this recognition particularly special, celebrating someone who is not only internationally renowned, but also part of the cultural fabric of this community."
Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Scott studied fashion design at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn before launching his career in Paris. In addition to his namesake label and work with Moschino, Scott's cross-disciplinary collaborations include a long-running partnership with Adidas that bridged high fashion with street culture.

As the largest cultural institution in the Coachella Valley, the Palm Springs Art Museum operates a campus featuring historic structures, including its 1975 flagship building designed by E. Stewart Williams and Albert Frey's Frey House II. Its permanent collection holds more than 20,000 objects alongside 50,000 architectural assets detailing regional modern design history.
