PALM DESERT, CA — Country music artists Aubrey O'Day and The Cowgays will headline the 40th annual Palm Springs Pride celebration later this year in downtown Palm Springs.
"For 40 years, Palm Springs Pride has been built by people who believe everyone deserves a place where they can show up exactly as they are and know they are part of something bigger," Jasmine Sullivan-Waits, executive director of Greater Palm Springs Pride, said in a statement.
The festivities will take place from Nov. 6-8 across the downtown area and the Arenas District.
O'Day, a founding member of pop group Danity Kane and Dumblonde, is an American singer, reality television personality and Broadway performer.
The Cowgays are a Nashville-based country group inspired by 1990s country music, featuring members Adam Mac, Brooke Eden and Chris Housman.
This year's theme, "Be Included," reflects a commitment to creating a safe and welcoming space for LGBTQ+ people and allies, officials said.
"Be Included is our promise that no matter the challenges, we will continue creating a place where our community can gather, celebrate, be seen and experience joy together," Sullivan-Waits added.
Additional performers will be announced at a later date.
