DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA — A motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries Friday morning after a collision with a vehicle in Desert Hot Springs, police said.
The crash happened at about 10:45 a.m. near Pierson Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue, according to the Desert Hot Springs Police Department.
"Based on statements and evidence at the scene, officers determined the motorcycle driver ran a red light and collided into a vehicle traveling east on Pierson Boulevard," police said.
The motorcyclist, whose name was not released, was found on the shoulder of the roadway and transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle was not injured and cooperated with investigators, police said.
No road closures were reported.
The collision remains under investigation.
